Daryl was the UC Davis Head Men’s Tennis Coach in 1993-2012. He coached eight All-Americans and was a two-time NCAA Division II West Region Coach of the Year. His teams advanced to the NCAA Division II Team Championships for nine consecutive years, and they held a national team ranking and had multiple doubles teams nationally ranked in NCAA Division I. Additionally, his team was a two-time Big West Conference Sportsmanship Team Award winner in Division I. Finally, his teams won the UCD Men’s Team GPA Award eight times, more times than any UCD team.
Since Daryl’s tenure at Davis, he has coached world-ranked pro doubles player Michael Kwong of Australia and several players who earned college scholarships.
Daryl was a member of the 1983 NCAA Champion Stanford Men’s Tennis Team. He attained an undergraduate degree in psychology at Stanford and a graduate degree in marriage, family, and child counseling at Sacramento State.
