Did You Know- by Lynn Alberts
I want to encourage you to get enough cruciferous vegetables in your diet. Cruciferous vegetables are unique because they are rich in sulfur containing compounds known as Glucosinolates. These compounds support detoxification and indole-3-carbinol which greatly reduces the risk of breast cancer, colon and lung cancer.
What are cruciferous vegetables? Arugula, bok choy, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collard greens, kale, mustard greens, radish, turnip and watercress. Lightly saute in coconut oil with sea salt, and that’s it.
We are exposed to 300-800 different chemicals on a daily basis. From our body lotion, make-up, toothpaste to cleaning products. Does your soap or shampoo have sodium laurel sulfate in it? This is a cheap chemical used by the manufacturers that can cause neurotoxicity, endocrine disruption and cellular changes. What can we do to reduce sodium laurel sulfate? Be selective in what you buy, read your labels, and if you want to try to make your own, try this…
2 oz – Castile soap
1 cap- Thieves all purpose cleaner
8 drops- Purification Oil
-Top off with water
